I am a computational biologist with a focus on the microbiome. I develop bioinformatics for metagenome sequence analysis and also statistical models for interpreting community structure. I have experience of applying machine learning methods to microbiome data sets. I trained as a Theoretical Physicist before switching to Biology and have worked on population dynamics, genetics and models of growth in the past.
