Areas of expertise
My area of expertise is in quantitative and population genetics, mainly in the field of animal genetics and genomics. My research interests include the development of methods to map variants associated with discrete or complex traits and to perform genome-wide prediction of complex traits (referred to as genomic selection in the field of animal breeding). In parallel, I have developed methods for haplotype reconstruction, missing genotype imputation, identification of identical-by-descent segments and characterization of inbreeding levels through the modelling of homozygous-by-descent segments (ROH). In these applications, we include the modelling of the pedigree structure of the populations as much as possible.
